Summer Reader
Logan is excited. We've signed him up for the summer reading program at the library. Its an indepent project - he has to read (or in this case, be read to) 20 books between now and the end of August. Each time he reads 5 books he gets a sticker to put on his tally paper. When he reaches 20 books he'll get a certificate of achievement which I'm sure will join the two he got from Sunday School currently residing on his closet doors. The librarian said "He just need to be read 20 books by now and then."
I said "That'll be easy, we read three books a night."
"Oh, well then just mark down his favorites."
That we can do. Just 7 hours into the project and he's already got three books written down on his list. He can't wait to go back to the library on Thursday to get his first sticker.
Which brings us to Thursday's program - another thing Logan is excited about. We're going to PJ storytime at the library. He'll wear his favorite pajamas and we'll head over for a 7pm story time. He keeps asking me if we're having a sleepover with the books. Hopefully he doesn't complain to much when we go without bringing along his sleeping bag!
